We recognise that transparent communication is essential for transformational change and we quantifiably contribute to 6 SDGs.
Architecture practice ARC Design Studio has achieved the Planet Mark certification. The company is dedicated to continuous improvement, identifying ways to improve business operations while reducing its carbon emissions and impact on the environment.
Understanding and measuring its carbon footprint is the first step in identifying ways to minimise its impact on the planet. Over the coming years, ARC will be working towards reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others.
Through Planet Mark, it has protected endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth goes directly towards supporting the Asháninka community in Central Peru.
It has also helped the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.
To recertify next year ARC Design Studio must reduce emissions by 2.5%.
A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
