Every activity has an environmental impact. Creative Landscape regularly reviews how it can minimize this and try to encourage the following in all activities. The company has made a number of changes to its services, including using peat-free compost, using timber from renewable sources, encouraging the use of solar lighting in its work, using local suppliers where possible and ensuring all of its green and recyclable waste is handled as efficiently as possible.
“As creative garden designers, the team already has a respect and love for outdoor spaces and nature. This is reflected in their many commitments to a green and planet friendly supply chain. With Planet Mark certification, the team can now measure all of their activities, and give their customers peace of mind that they are doing right by the planet. Well done to Creative Landscape Co. on taking the next step in their sustainability journey.”

Through Planet Mark, the company has protected an area of endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth goes directly towards supporting the Asháninka community in Central Peru.
It is also helping the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.
For many, gardens are a gateway to nature. They give access to green spaces, wildlife and fauna, and provide significant health and wellbeing benefits to their occupants. Companies in the gardening industry must help create planet positive gardens, that are a haven for nature. From working without damaging chemicals to ensuring business processes don’t create undue local disruptions, a new approach to managing our gardens can have significant impacts on local and global climate issues.
To recertify next year Creative Landscape Co. must reduce emissions by 2.5%.
A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
