Certification story

The D Hammond Group, which comprises Darenth Valley Building Services and D Hammond, offers a single-source maintenance solution to owners and occupiers of commercial properties in London and the southeast. Darenth Valley Building Services, which holds the Royal Warrant for Building Services and Maintenance Engineering, provides maintenance services whilst D Hammond delivers refurbishments projects.

In this Decade of Action, The D Hammond Group wants to ensure that it is a force for good: positively transforming society and the planet by measuring its own impact on the environment.

Understanding its carbon footprint is the first step in identifying ways to minimise its impact on the planet. Working with Planet Mark has enabled The D Hammond Group to formalise the capture of information necessary to track its carbon impact and set true targets. From moving management to electric vehicles to implementing improvements across its building to make it more carbon efficient, environmental sustainability has become embedded in the business.

The D Hammond Group will continue to minimise its carbon emissions and share its journey to inspire others. By being more strategic about its environmental responsibility, it will be able to significantly increase its positive impact and hope to encourage continual improvements within its community.
