Certification story

Dacrylate Paints is a British manufacturer and supplier of high performance, industrial and decorative coatings and paints. The company aims to demonstrate its social, economic and environmental responsibilities through its actions and within its corporate policies. Environmental management is an integral part of Dacrylate Paints productivity, competitiveness and profitability.

As part of of its existing policy, it is committed to protecting the environment by reducing the impact of its business operations, preventing pollution through continually improving its environmental performance and promoting environmental sustainability throughout its supply chain.

Looking to strengthen its environmental credentials, Dacrylate Paints has achieved the Planet Mark certification and is working with Planet Mark to reduce its carbon emissions and share its journey with its community to inspire others. Understanding and measuring its carbon footprint is the first step in identifying ways to minimise its impact on the planet. By being more strategic about its environmental responsibility, it will be able to increase its positive impact significantly and hopes to encourage continual improvements within its community.

Through Planet Mark, Dacrylate Paints has protected an area of endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth directly supports the Asháninka community in Central Peru.

It has also helped the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.
