DC Advisory is an international bank committed to making a difference. As a firm, it is committed to making a difference in its local communities, and on a global basis. As part of its commitment, DC Advisory has made a public declaration to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals including SDG 13 Climate Action.
The company recognises that understanding and measuring its carbon footprint is the first step in identifying ways to minimise its impact on the planet. Over the coming years, DC Advisory will be working with Planet Mark towards reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others.
By being more strategic about its environmental responsibility, the company will be able to significantly increase its positive impact and hope to encourage continual improvements within its community.
Through Planet Mark, it will be protecting an area of endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth goes directly towards supporting the Asháninka community in Central Peru.
It will also be helping the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.
To recertify next year DC Advisory must reduce emissions by 2.5%.
A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
