Certification story

Driven by the ambition to produce exceptional buildings for its clients, the environment, and the communities it serves, Kori Construction has achieved the Planet Mark certification.

Ensuring that we cultivate an environment where our people can thrive is important to Kori. The company is commitment to continuous improvement in environmental policies and are working with Planet Mark to measure and reduce its carbon emissions annually.

As part its wider corporate, social and responsibility policy, it launched its Social Value Matters initiative which ensures that from inception to completion Kori is providing long-term societal, ethical and environmental benefits to communities, clients and wider stakeholders.

By measuring its social value, Kori has holistic insight into its positive contributions to not only the environment but also to society, demonstrating its commitment to meaningfully contribute to a better planet for all.

Over the next year, the company will be working towards reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others. By being more strategic about its environmental responsibility, the company will be able to significantly increase its positive impact and hope to encourage continual improvements within its community.

Through Planet Mark, Kori Construction has protected an area of endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth goes directly towards supporting the Asháninka community in Central Peru.

It has also helped the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.
