Restore Datashred is the UK’s leading provider of confidential shredding services, providing scale, efficiency and unrivalled value to its customers. In this crucial Decade of Action, the company wants to ensure that they are a force for good: positively transforming society and the planet by measuring its own impact on the environment.
Recycling is a key element in operations across the Restore Group of businesses, and we are conscious of the impact it has on the environment. In turn, the company supports customers by telling them how much paper they’ve recycled, how many trees they’ve saved from being felled, and how much water and energy they’ve saved, for each transaction they make.
Through Planet Mark, Restore Datashred has protected endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth goes directly towards supporting the Asháninka community in Central Peru.
It is also helping the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future. The company is looking forward to sharing its sustainability achievements with the wider community.
To recertify next year Restore Datashred must reduce emissions by 2.5%.
A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
