We engage our employees and wider stakeholders to unlock their talent and knowledge to drive year on year progress in sustainability.
We recognise that transparent communication is essential for transformational change and we quantifiably contribute to 7 SDG.
Rokill Pest Control Services, a cost effective, professional, and safe pest control solution provider, which holds the Queen’s Royal Warrant for Pest and Bird Control, has achieved Planet Mark certification.
Achieving the Planet Mark is based on the commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability in its business operations by measuring and reducing its carbon footprint and engaging its stakeholders.
Rokill has undertaken several sustainable initiatives beyond its commitment to continually reduce its carbon footprint. The company has committed to protecting an acre of threatened rainforest through a collaboration with conservation charity Cool Earth, which stores 260 tonnes of carbon. Rokill has also committed to spreading sustainability among its network of stakeholders and engaging its employees in ways to become more sustainable.
“Congratulations to Rokill on half a decade of climate action. Rokill has long been a promoter of sustainable change, and this year is no different. Once more the company has exceeded its carbon reduction target. This is a huge success in what has already been a challenging year for business. I’m proud to work with Rokill and witness the success of their team’s endeavours.”
“We are delighted to confirm that Rokill has received its fourth year Planet Mark certification. Our team has worked hard this year to reduce our carbon footprint through more efficient driving, supported by advanced vehicle telematics to produce driver behaviour league tables. We are committed to delivering further reductions in our carbon footprint through many other initiatives.
Chris added “Our company fleet is our major target for improvement and we have recently placed orders for hybrid vehicles meaning over 60% of our cars will be hybrids in 2021. As part of the latest, Planet Mark reviews our Social Value contribution was assessed and we are really proud of the positive impact we make and it reflects positively on the values of our company and our team.”
Businesses must be primed for a sustainable transition. As we continue through the decade of climate action, businesses must be ready to decarbonise and present a sustainable portfolio of work for the demands of the modern customer. From waste disposal policies to carbon reduction, the whole supply chain must be analysed to provide a measured, continuous improvement in sustainability. Businesses who embrace this change will be the first to benefit, be it through efficiency savings, client acquisition and retention, and offering attractive, resilient work to potential employees.
To recertify next year Rokill Pest Control must reduce emissions by 2.5%.
A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
