We recognise that transparent communication is essential for transformational change and we quantifiably contribute to 5 SDG.
The Royal Warrant Holders Association (RWHA) & Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) have achieved Planet Mark certification for the seventh year.
RWHA, a membership association that represents those who hold a Royal Warrant for supplying goods and services to Royal Households, and QEST, their charity supporting talented and aspiring craftspeople by funding their education and training, have reduced their total carbon per employee by 10.6% from the previous year.
Due to being a fast-paced and busy office, continuing to measure carbon use has been the biggest challenge but RWHA is committed to keeping measurement on their list of priorities as well as carrying out sustainable practices across the business. The Association is approaching sustainability holistically by educating and engaging their organisation on how to measure carbon, why it’s being measured, and the direct impact on the organisation, as well as the planet.
Planet Mark’s certification of RWHA ensures that the Association remains engaged with the goals and ambitions of their 700+ member companies and their own sustainable business practices, at a time when it is more important than ever.
Learning how to measure and reduce carbon emissions has enriched the events and opportunities that they provide their member companies and ensure they are more appropriately able to support them.

But beyond RHWA and QEST’s own office walls, the change they can make with their network of stakeholders is outstanding. Walking the walk on sustainability is crucial in changing minds, and both organisations are fantastic examples of this.”
As part of their inspiring sustainability journey, RWHA is contributing towards 7 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a collection of 17 interrelated goals. RWHA is proudly contributing to: clean water and sanitation, decent work and economic growth, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water and life on land.
“At the Royal Warrant Holders Association we have partnered with Planet Mark for the past seven years and have maintained our Business Certification by achieving annual reduction in our carbon emissions. Since I joined the RWHA two years ago, I have seen first-hand both the requirement and the desire of our 700+ member companies to ‘do more good’ and so we are working hard on our own sustainability strategy to help both our organisation as well as our member companies with best practice, collaborations, latest innovations, and practical tips. Partnering with Planet Mark allows us access to a wide range of resources, guides, and a community with fellow Planet Mark members.”
Planet Mark has helped by providing a wealth of resources and guides to assist RWHA on their carbon reduction journey. Through a community platform, Planet Mark has also assisted RWHA in connecting and engaging with other like-minded members.
Through Planet Mark, RWHA and QEST have protected seven acres of endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth directly supports the Asháninka community in Central Peru. It has also helped the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.
To recertify next year RWHA must reduce emissions by 2.5%.
A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
